Study of automatic voltage control approach based on fuzzy-expert inference for 500kV substations

The voltage and reactive power control of the substation is an important approach that ensures the voltage quality and the power system operating securely and reliably. This paper analyzes the shortage of the methods used in the voltage and reactive power control at present, and proposes a new method of the voltage and reactive power control, which is based on the fuzzy expert inference. The proposed method solves the fuzzy boundary problem of bus voltage and overcomes the shortage of the fixed boundary control methods. In addition, it combines the limiting conditions and optimized standards in voltage control and the protective and locked information in substation, and realizes the best coordination of capacitor, reactor and transformer tag in various running status of substation. The experimental result for 500kV substation shows that the proposed method improves greatly the performance of voltage and reactive power control and improves the voltage quality, and has the well application foreground.
