Calculation of synchronous reactance for rare earth permanent magnetic motor using electromotive-force method

The paper analyses the distribution of magnetic field in the permanent magnet synchronous motor with rated power of 800W. On the basis of the traditional approach to calculating armature reactance, we put forward a new method which is based on the calculation of the electromotive\|force equation, and name it after "electromotive\|force method". Moreover, we determine the reactances of the experimental motor by the way of direct\|load method, and verify the validity of "electromotive\|force method".
