The traditional ip-iq harmonic current detecting method, which is based on the instantaneous reactive power theory, has been used in threephase power system successfully. The method adopts many mutipliers, so its calculating results have big error and are affected easily by circuit parameters' changes. This paper presents a novel harmonic current detecting method which introduceds voltage feedback controls on the basis of ip-iq method, and the detecting system is designed accordingly. The system is used in a combined power filter prototype, and experimental results verify the feasibility and correctness of the harmonic current detecting system.
