SITE DEPENDENT ATTENUATION STATISTICS OF STRONG GROUND MOTION PARAMETERS

Wang Yayong and Li Hong (China Academy of Building Research)  
The paper uses regression analysis procedures to investigate the attenuation of ground motion parameters, such as maximum peak acceleration, peak velocity, peak displacement, effective peak acceleration and time duration, etc.The data base used consists of 133 free-field acceleration records which come from home and abroad including records of magnitude above7,near-field and records on bedrock site. Instead of the traditional classification of site the predominant period of site has been employed to characterize the site condition in the procedure.
