EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF SEMIACTIVE STRUCTURAL CONTROL USING VARIABLE STIFFNESS

A shaking table test of semiactive structural control using variable stiffmess has been completed in Harbin University of Civil Engineering Architecture. The semiactive structural control includes a variable stiffiness element an electronic controller a mechanical equipment a transducer and some cables. It is set in the 1:4 model of a five-floor frame. The dimension of model is 1.8m×1.8m×4.15m. The test result shows that this type of control system is capable of efficiently reducing the structural vibration response.
