Active structural vibration control without power supply

A new methodology of active control(ACWPS) is proposed in the paper The ACWPS overcomes the drawbacks of conventional active control system which needs higher pressure oil supply and so it is difficult to assure its reliability The ACWPS system consists of these parts: 1 energy transducer, 2 energy accumulator and 3 active control actuators It works on such a principle that the transducer converts a part of the kinetic energy of the excited structure to hydraulic energy which is stored in the energy accumulator while the actuators perform the active control using these pressure oil as its power supply The differential equation of the excied structure that equipped with ACWPS setup is presented and the control theory is also established in the paper Simulation results demonstrate that the ACWPS is a promising structural control method
