Dynamic impedance of group piles in two-phase fluid-saturated soils

The dynamic impedance of group piles in fluid-saturated porous media is analyzed. A set of governing equations is presented on the basis of coordinate and balance conditions between saturated soils and group piles and footing.The results indicate that pore fluid may affect impedance functions of group piles in two-phase saturated soils and different permeability coeffcients of fluid-saturated soils may have different effects on dynamic impedance of group piles in two-sphase fluid-saturated soils and the effect of the permeability coefficient on horizontal impedance is more sensitive than that on vertical impedance of group piles. So it is necessary to consider the effect of pore fluid of saturated soils for soils and foundation interaction.
