Push-over analysis method and its application to RC tall building with complex structural type

In this paper, the study of pushover analysis and corresponding computer program for RC tall structures is carried out. Several kinds of elements in the program are considered to meet the need of tall buildings with complex structural type. These elements include beamcolumn element for beams and columns, single slice wall element and three vertical line element for walls, tubewall element for tubes. Calculation example for verifying the models indicates that the result obtained by this method is identical with a wellknown test result and the program can search for the whole process of structural response, induding the softening stage of the structure. Applying this pushover analysis method, the analysis of actual tall building with complex structural type are completed, and the result are put into practice for structural design of building.
