Push-over analysis of a complex high-rise frame-shear wall structure

Based on the requirements of new seismic code, the study on push-over analysis of a complex high-rise frame-shear wall structure is carried out with the computer program for RC tall structures(TBPOA) which is written by the authors. The whole and local seismic performances of the structure are evaluated. The results show that although RC columns in the structure with steel bars according with earthquake-resistant detailing requirements satisfy design demands under frequent earthquake, some of them can not satisfy deformation demands under rare earthquake. Therefore, with the help of push-over analysis, deformation performance evaluation of structures and members is very necessary.
