Analysis of shear force-displacement relationship and damagedisplacement-enhancement coefficient of R.C. columnsstrengthened with carbon fiber sheets

A computer program is developed for analyzing the shear force-displacement relationship of R.C. columns strengthened with carbon fiber sheets (CFSs). Using the computer program, a parametric study is conducted to examine the effect of various parameters (i.e., characteristic value corresponding to carbon fiber sheets, axial load ratio, aspect ratio, characteristic value corresponding to transverse reinforcement, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, and compressive strength of concrete) on the shear force-displacement relationship and damage displacement-enhancement coefficient (DDEC) of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with CFSs. Finally, a regression formula is put forward for the DDEC, and regression formulas for characteristic parameters of the trilinear model of shear force-displacement relationship of R.C. columns strengthened with CFSs are proposed.
