Seismic analysis of a double-tower building with a large podium at the library of a college in Baoji

In this paper,a building at the library of Baoji Professional Technology College is analyzed.Structure plan of the library is optimized.Several questions about the seismic design of the double-tower weakly connecting building with a large chassis are discussed.Seismic design based on performance is proposed.Some controlled sliding quantities of the connecting sliding bearing are calculated and suitable sliding bearing is designed.Some calculating softwares for example,SATWE and ETABS,are used to account this project.Through comparing the calculating results,it is shown that various targets about the project of the library are good and the seismic behavior of this structure is in condition.
