Updating fuzzy-pattern identification approach to flange-joint bolted looseness damage in transmission tower structures

Qu Weilian,Qin Wenke(Hubei Key Laboratory of Roadway Bridge & Structure Engineer,Wuhan University of Technology,Wuhan 430070,China)  
In this paper,adopting the optimization equivalent method,the finite element model of transmission tower structure with bolted looseness-damage is set up according to the damaging characteristic of this tower structure.An updating detection approach to fuzzy-pattern identification based on strain mode is also presented to locate the specific bolted looseness damage by the reduplicative detection of distance nest degree and proportion nest degree.Performance of the proposed damage detection approach is demonstrated by the analysis of Xiang jiang transmission tower structure.
