DYNAMIC ELASTIC-PLASTIC MODELS OF SOILSBASED ON NON-MANSING'S RULE

ln this paper. two dynamic elastic-plastic model. are proposed based on non-Mansing's rule. Two parameters n1 and n2 are introduced into the models. The methods fordetermining the two parameten in case of uniform cyclic loading and irregular cyclic loading are presented. The two dynamic elastic- plastic models are used for response analysis of soil layers to earthquakes. and the results are compared with those from the analysis of equivalent linear model. It is found out that the former is mnre reasonable than the latter.
