THEORETICAL ENVELOPES OF SEISMIC SHEAR FORCE ANDBENDING MOMENT DIAGRAMS OFCANTILEVER-TYPED STRUCTURES

In this paper, taking the artificial modes as the theoretical tool, concise forznulas fbr the principal and secondary upper bound seismic shear foroe and bending moment of the cantilever-typed structure are derived. Practically , the upper bound seismic shear force and bending moment diagrams are the envelopes of countless scismic shear force and bending moment diagfams. Besides, a simple relationship between the upper bounds and the equivalent static solution is fouand.
