Heat Capacity Model for Thermal Propagation Of Electric Contacts Erosion by Arcs

By reviewing the history and present situation of research on electric contact thermal propagation, it is considered that, the value of input thermal current and its distribution in the contacts surface, and the process of moving boundary are the key problems of modelling of contact erosion phenomenon. On the simple and practical principle,the input thermal source to the contacts due to arc was modelled by the Gossthermal source, the moving boundary problem was transformed into "single phase" nonlinear thermal conduct by applying the method of heat capacity, therefore, the heatcapacity model for thermal propaga non of contacts erosion by a res was constructed.
