Study on Comparisons Among Some Waveform Symmetry Principle Based Transformer Differential Protection

The principles and the constitutions of the criteri a of the present power transformer protections based on waveform symmetry scheme a re studied in this paperBesides,the reliabilities and sensitivities of them ar e analyzed and comparedSimulation and dynamic test results show that the pole -segregated tripping scheme can be implemented in the transformer differential protection as the waveform symmetry based scheme to identify the inrush is adopt edHowever,further studies should be done to improve the time delay of tripping when serious faults that make CT saturate occur
