Dynamic Equivalents of Distribution Systems for Voltage Stability Studies

To include the distribution system in voltage stability studies simply and accurately,this paper develops a methodology for dynamic equivalents of distribution networks Two equivalent models are presented,i e equivalent in section and equivalent in total The equivalent model in section simplifies on load tap changers (OLTCs)which operate in parallel The equivalent model in total reduces OLTCs which operate in series and in parallel at the same time The principles and formulas for the equivalent parameters are worked out The entire (distribution system)model and the equivalent models are applied to both small and large disturbance voltage stability studies It is shown that the equivalent model in section has acceptable accuracy,and the equivalent model in total is less accurate than equivalent model in section
