Self-Optimization Control of PM Synchronous Wind Turbine Generator System

This paper covers the operation of permanent magner(PM)synchronous wind turbine generator system with self optimization control The system is controlled to generate maximum energy The power coefficient expression of TSR and pitch was deduced according to wind turbine aerodynamics Then the simple optimization method was chosen as self optimization control strategy according to this expression As s result,at different wind speed,we got the optimized generator rotate speed and pitch angle The proposed control method is also applicable to other kinds of adjustable wind turbine generator Experiment result is given to verify that the wind turbine have been operating at maximum energy capture work point under self optimization control
