Modeling for Interior Faults of Induction Motors and Its Simulation Based on EMTDC

Based on the fact that parameters of motors will change as the results of interior faults.The relationship between fault types,fault extent and parameters of motors are established,and the modeling method for interior faults is presented.The models are verified on the electromagnetic transient simulation software EMTDC.Using the characteristic frequency component,the simulation results are compared with the experimental data of a test motor,and the results show thar the modeling is valid and correct. In this paper,the motor models used for analyzing common faults have been extended to the interior faults. Based on the models ,the stidies on interior faults can get into each turn and each bar of motors,and the quantitative analysis on interior faults of motors are then achieved.
