Novel Method for Transformer Faults Integrated Diagnosis Based on Bayesian Network Classifier

Due to the randomness and uncertainty of power transformer fault diagnosis data, a novel specific transformer fault diagnostic method based on Bayesian network classifiers with self-improvement is proposed in this paper. A transformer diagnostic naive Bayes network model and a transformer diagnostic tree augmented naive Bayes (TAN) model are set up. The dissolved gas-in-oil analysis (DGA) and the results of conventional electrical tests of power transformers are combined tightly within these diagnostic models. It is used in the method that the Bayesian network satisfactory capacity of knowledge representation and strong solving ability to deal with uncertain facts. Then, these models can do better with incomplete diagnosis data. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of these models can be enhanced by the self-improvement method. When the training samples are accumulated, these models will modify their structure and probability distribution. Finally, the analytical result of practical sample verifies the accuracy of the proposed idea.
