Detection,Location and Classification of Power Quality Disturbances Based on Phase of Complex Wavelet

Starting from perfect reconstruction filter banks, the relationship between the wavelet and the filter banks is analyzed, and the construction of complex discrete orthonormal wavelet is discussed. From this, detection, location and classification of power quality's disturbances are analyzed respectively, by the symmetry complex compactly-supported orthonormal wavelet constructed. Simulation is made to verify the validity using complex wavelet to analyze power quality's disturbances. The results show that complex wavelet is superior to real wavelet in respect of analyzing transition power quality disturbances, especially by the phase of complex wavelet.
