Network Reconfiguration of Shipboard Power System Based on Improved Genetic Arithmetic

To restore power supply to the faulted sections of the shipboard power system (SPS),this paper improves genetic arithmetic. Convergence rate of arithmetic is accelerated using elitist preserved tactics, adaptive, crossover and adaptive mutation. The population is diversified using a new select method based on both similarity and fitness. Compared with existing methods, the arithmetic is considerably improved. To check reconfiguration scheme under certain constraints, this paper proposes a simpler and faster method based on relationship between lines and loads. The proposed approach is illustrated with typical SPS fault restoration tests .The results show that the improved genetic arithmetic can improve speed of convergence and precision of restoration and avoid premature convergence.
