Integrated Protection for Power Systems Based on the Multi-Agent Technology

The application of multi-Agent technique in integrated protection to solve the coordination issue of various protection functions is studied in this paper. A multi algorithm based integrated protection scheme for power systems is presented. The basic principle of the scheme is introduced,which is developed based on multi-Agent technology. The operation process of the protection scheme is further studied,and the performance of the communication network and the reliability of integrated protection system are analyzed. Theoretical analysis and practical investigation prove the superiority of the proposed integrated protection based on multi Agent technology.
