Iterative Learning Control for Transient Current of Arc Suppressing Coils in Single-Phase to Earth Fault

Based on iterative learning control theory a nonlinear iterative learning control law is proposed and applied to the current control of arc suppressing coil. By iterative learning control of the conduction angle of thyristors, the asymmetric secondary current is generated to equalize the transient direct current. Under the iterative learning controller, the transient direct current of arc suppressing coils decays more quickly and the respond time becomes shorter. Simulation results show that the proposed control method is effective and versatile.
