The Generator Transient Stability Prediction Based on Additional Virtual Loads

The method for generator transient stability prediction based on virtual loads is proposed in this paper. The power system would be reduced order reserved nodes of power plants with phasor measurement units(PMU). By introducing an additional virtual load for each reserved nodes,the variety of system elements’ model and their parameters or alteration of the network topology could be identified by the additional virtual load model for each reserved nodes. The parameter of additional virtual load model would be identified and modified based on PMU data. With related generator equation,the perturbed trajectories prediction should be realized. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified with numerical simulation on 6-machine 25-bus and 10-machine 39-bus power system.
