Dynamic Characteristics of Linear Induction Motor Based on Extended Winding Function

This paper establishes an analysis method extended winding function of linear induction motor (LIM) based on the concept of traditional winding function. It can be applied to the analysis of LIM with even pole numbers or odd ones. By using this method, the performance considering the asymmetry of three phase windings due to static end effect can be analyzed effectively. Meanwhile, proposed method shows excellent effectiveness in LIM calculation of winding inductance, dynamic thrust and normal force with gap length changed or uneven.
