Design of an Intelligent Control Module for AC Electromagnetic Valves

The AC electromagnetic valve is always used in air-conditioning system and refrigerating system, it's compact structure, small volume and totally closed. This paper designs an intelligent control module for the AC electromagnetic valve, and this module uses off-line switched- mode power supply chip as a core. The chip can dynamic self-supply with a few discrete components, and can realize intelligent control of the electromagnetic valve. With the module control, the AC electromagnetic valve can have the functions as follows: AC or DC general use, wide range input voltage, working silent and saving energy, perfect protection performance, etc. The AC electromagnetic valve can start and keep with closed-loop in DC mode without any auxiliary power supply. This paper analyzes the principle of the closed-loop starting. The experimental results verify the validity of the control module. The small module can make the AC electromagnetic valve more robust and improve the service life at a low cost.
