A Distribution Network Fault Recovery Study on the Dynamic Alliance of Mobile Multi-Agent

For fast and efficient recovery from large-area blackout and cascading failure in distribution network with distributed generation(DG), this paper proposes a distribution network fault recovery strategy based on the dynamic alliance of mobile multi-agent. In this multi-agent system, set each of feeders and DGs as the sub-task agent, the local host agent as the control center agent. Once large-area blackout occurs, the host agent fast selects optimum combination of dynamic alliance and starts the dynamic alliance module of corresponding sub-agents, according to restoration possibility index(RPI) value determined by lost power capacity and the spare capacities from support feeders. In the case of cascading failure, the multi-agent system can dynamically add new sub-agents. Simultaneously, the agent information and RPI values can be updated, and the dynamic alliance scheme can be adjusted according to connection relation among faults, to quickly and easily respond to new failures. The example shows that the study is suitable for single fault, continuous failures and largearea failure in distribution network with DG, which improves the recovery efficiency of complex fault.
