Sensorless Control of PMSM Based on Observer

Guo Qingding Luo Ruifu Wang Limei (Shenyang Polytechnic University)  
This paper presents a position and velocity sensorless control algorithm based on observer theory. Rotor position can be attained by flux linkage and line current estimation. A closed-loop state observer is implemented to compute the speed feedback signal. The control is realized by software using TMS DSP320C25.Experiment results on an SPM are reliable in both steady and transient states.
