The Designation of a New Wide Area Backup Protection System in Power System

Zhao Yongjun (Huazhong University of Science & Technology)  
The designation of a new type of wide area backup protection system is presented.Based on many measurement points,the system analyzes the power system faults,from the whole power network.So the conventional problems such ascas- cade trip are solved.The reliability of power system is en- hanced.This article not only presents the construction and the functions of the wide area backup protection,but also does the merits of the wide area backup protection,construction to the conventional backup protection.
