Application of Control for Continuous Casting Based on Fuzzy PID

Wang Shudong (Lanzhou University of Technology)  
Viewed at complex technologic characteristic of continuous casting process, the programmable logic controller, configuration software and corresponding measure components is adopted to set up control system. Hardware structure and software designed are introduced. Because of characters of time-varying, lag and cross-c oupling, difficulty in establishing its crisp mathematics model, and in order to simplify the design of fuzzy controller, a equal fuzzy PID controller is adopte d and its principle, steps are introduced in detail. In real operation results s how that this system is simple, stable, reliable, efficient, convenient to maint ain and good to generalize.
