On Heat Destruction Simulation of High-Energy Laser Weapon

In order to simulate the heat destruction,the process of cavity generation induced by laser irradiating was studied.The material's state transformation with heating time was equivalent to the change of power density distribution with time in the infinite medium,and the analytical solution of thermal diffusion equation of the infinite medium with constant thermal physical properties was adopted as theoretical tool.The approximate mathematical expressions of laser drilling were formulated,and correspondent software is programmed to simulate drilling process.The simulation showed that the designed software can simulate a logical process of the cavity formation.If the computation parameters are changed,the holes with different shapes will be obtained.The investigation provides a fast and efficient means to estimate the heat destruction of the laser weapon.
