Analysis and Control for Quartz Tuning Fork Gyroscope at the Best Resonance Frequency

The amplitude stability of the driving oscillation velocity at three different resonance frequencies is analyzed,and the control for the quartz tuning fork gyroscope at the best resonance frequency is realized.First,based on the theory of electro-mechanical equivalent,the viewpoint that the current in series branch circuit is equivalent to the oscillation velocity is presented.And then,a conclusion is obtained that the dithering of the frequency has least effect on amplitude of the tuning fork's oscillation velocity at the series resonance frequency.But there is difference between the real resonance frequencies and the measured resonance frequencies.A phase-shift circuit is designed and its resistance and capacitance are adjusted to make the gyro work at different resonance frequencies.It is showed that the amplitude stability of the driving oscillation velocity is the best at the real series resonance frequency.A phase-shift of 3.78° can make the gyro work at the real series resonance frequency by adjusting the circuit's resistance and capacitance.
