Methods for Quantitative Evaluation of Battlefield Electromagnetic Environment Complexity

The evaluation of battlefield electromagnetic environment complexity is one of the most important goals of research on the electromagnetic environment. A model for quantitative evaluation of the complexity was built up in order to evaluate the electromagnetic environment faced by the Electronic Countermeasure (EC)equipment. Firstly,the index system of evaluation was put forward,an index assessment model was built up,and the weight of each index was determined by using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(FAHP). Then a grading standard of battlefield electromagnetic complexity was presented based on the influence degree of the electromagnetic environment on EC equipment. Finally,the complexity evaluation model was presented. An example was used to validate the model. The result indicated that the model can reflect the complication status of battlefield electromagnetic environment quantitatively,the conclusion is reasonable and is in accordance with the practice.
