Design and Realization of an Automatic Parallax Measurement Apparatus for HUDs

In debugging of HUDs,the parallax test is usually subjective and it is difficult to get a quantitative result.To solve the problem,a set of automatic parallax detection device was designed.Traditional optical system and CCD photoelectric converter were used in the device.Digital image processing technology of auto-focusing for optical system was used to realize automatic and digitalized parallax detection.Parallax measurements were made respectively using the designed automatic device,By manual testing,and without using the auto-focusing system.The result showed that the automatic parallax measurement device has the highest detection accuracy and good reproducibility.The measurement accuracy is 28″.
