DEEP PROCESSES AND MANTLE-CRUST COMPOUND MINERALIZATION IN THE EVOLUTION OF THE LANPIN-SIMAO MESOZOIC-CENOZOIC DIWA BASIN IN WESTERN YUNNAN, CHINA

The evolution of the Lanpin-Simao Basin is closely related to deep processes. The changes in the chemical and physical properties of the enriched mantle cause mantle expansion and a series of tectonic activation effects in the crust such as crustal updoming, tensional fractures and downcast, thus resulting in the formation of the Lanpin-Simao Mesozoic-Cenozoic superimposed fault diwa basin. The Lanpin-Simao Crust-Mantle Penetrative Fracture Zone within the basin controls the sedimentary formation and the distribution of the deposits in the basin. The extremely mineralization-concentrated deposits are the result of mantle-crust compound mineralization with direct involvement of ore-forming materials derived from the mantle in the particular tectonic evolution of the Lanpin-Simao Basin.
