The Sicun-Pengshan fault is one of the denudational faults developed in the tectonic system Of the LianyUn Mt. metamorphic core complex in northeastern Hunan Province, China. The present study on this fault includes the following: the geological characteristics Of tectonite zones developed across the fault, the formational and evolutional mechanism of the fault, and the ore mineralization controlled by the fault. The ore dePOsits associated with the fault have been studied, and a model for ore formation related to the development of the fault is established here.
