STUDY ON VERTICAL ZONING OF OREFIELD STRUCTURES IN LAOCHANG TIN OREFIELD IN GEJIU AREA,YUNNAN PROVINCE

Based on a study on the characteristics of the ore-controlling structures, the orefield structure in the Laochang orefield can be classified into three zones. The first zone consists of the system of faults and interbedded gliding fractural zone. The second zone consists of the system of joints or little fractures. The third zone consists of the contact structural system of magmatic intrusion. The three zones occur respectively as epizone, mesozone and hypozone in space, which respectively control the interbedded oxide deposit, the tin-bearing veinlets extending from the earth surface to the intrusive, and the skarn type cassiterite-bearing sulfide. When the three zones occur together in a combined form, an integrated structural zoning is formed.
