A Mathematical Research about Coupled Heat and Moisture Transfer in Textile

During the process of heat and moisture transfer from manikin to ambient through clothing, dry heat transfer resistance and latent heat transfer resistance of the textile affected each other. On the one hand, variation of vapor content caused by moisture transfer leads to the change of physical properties of fabric and affects therefore, heat and mass transfer performance of the textile. On the other hand, vapor condensation (or evaporation) gives out (or absorbs) the heat which changes temperature distribution and affects dry heat transfer. The above coupled heat and moisture transfer has been mathematically studied in the present paper. The co influence of heat and moisture transfer resistance and the effect of some factors have been discussed.
