Analysis of the Warmth Retention Properties of Down Filling Clothing with Micelle Structure

As the low-density , soft , fluffy properties and the low thermal conductivity , down fiber is widely used as filling material for light-weight and warm clothing.The effects of micelle structure on the warmth retention properties for down filling clothing were studied and the influences of the scale density , shape , thickness and filling mass of the micelle on the warmth retention property was analyzed. Experimental results show that micelle scale density has a nonlinear effect on warmth retention property. Conclusions indicate that the warmth retention property of strip micelle is better than that of grid micelle , and the warm retention property increases when thickness increases and volume density decreases.In addition , it shows that the warm retention property of clothing is best when the filling mass of down fibers is 10 g /( 30 cm×30 cm ) .
