An Attempt of Constructing Typhon Ground Isobars as Nonsimilar Pattern

Zhang Jialin, Fang Wenluan, Xu Qiming and Tan Changbo (The Second Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration)  
Some fanous pressure formulae have been presented early by Myers, Takahashi and Fujita etc, with which the resulted Typhoon ground isobars are similar curve systems, no matter how parameter R0 is chosen.By introducing nondimensional parameter α, these formulae are developeol into corresponding a formulae. We suppose, that the pressure gradient at the innet region of Typhoon is larger than at the outer legion and that closed but noncircle curves of a and R0 are convex in the polar coordinates system for Myers formula.The isobar system drafted by the developed formule are of nonsimilar pattern.An example for Typhoon No 7209 at 08:00 August 16, 1972 is also given in the paper. The isobars graphs obtained with this method show that it is useful for fitting observation value of the pressure and the aspect of simulated Typhoon eye.
