Analysis of elastic single mooring cable system with different elasticity and velocity distribution

The elasticity of mooring cable and velocity distribution of the flow are two main factors to affect the behaviors of mooring cable system in marine environment.The piecewise extrapolating method is employed to solve the equation of elastic mooring cable for the different elasticity with the same current velocity distribution and the same elasticity with the different current velocity distribution including uniform current,parabola and logarithm velocity distribution etc.And some corresponding results are obtained by analysis.The results show that the elasticity of the cable has obvious effect on its force and distortion.The change of velocity distribution of the flow has little effect on the excursion of the cable, but affects the force of the cable obviously.Considering the safety of the cable,it's better to use logarithm velocity distribution in computation.
