According to the oceanographic investigations of the East China Sea from 1975 to 1982 and from 1987 to 1990,the comprehensive survey of the Shanghai coastal zone from 1982 to 1983,and the data of the estuarine fronts in the Changiiang Estuary from 1988 to 1989,this paper intends to analyse the characteristics and regulations of the high-concentration-salt water intrusion outside of the Changjiang Estuary. It is found that the intrusion location for several years coinsides with eastern boundary of the submerged Changjiang delta. There is trend of the Huanghai (Yellow Sea) mixing water intrusion except the Taiwan warm water intrusion. And the paper also discusses the mechanism of the high-concentration-salt water intrusion and its controlling effects on sediments discharged into the seas and on development of the submerged Changjiang delta.
