Researches on output capacity calculating and transformer parameters designing of half bridge IGBT welding inverter power source

Output capacity of IGBT half bridge inverter power source has been discussed and its expression has been developed in this paper. The main factors affecting the output capacity have been analyzed, which providing the theoretical reference to design the transformer for inverter power source. The parameters designing for transformer of inverter welder has been introduced and an example of transformer design for the inverter welder with 11 kW output capacity (315 A current) was given.
