Finite element analysis of temperature field in electron beam welding of titanium plate

Welding residual stress is determined by welding temperature field directly through thermal strain and indirectly through changes of metal phase and microscopic structure.So analysis of welding temperature field is the prerequisite of research on welding stress and strain.Based on ANSYS software,cone body heat source model is proposed according to the characters of electron beam deep welding.Finite element numerical simulation of temperature field is performed and obtains a better result.Results of finite element numerical simulation and trim welding line are well consistent.
