Research on the stability of arc-length in pulse MAG welding by fuzzy logic control

According to the feature of arc control by using pulsed metal active gas(MAG) welding,a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is designed to realize the stability of arc control by means of feedback of peak arc voltage,basing on pulse frequency modulation(PFM) adjustment mechanism to realize the pulsed waveform modulation,the peak arc voltage is controlled by the pulse base time,the FLC is realized in a Look-Up-Table (LUT) method.At last,the experiment result shows that the proposed controller enables the stability of arc and welding process to be achieved in pulsed MAG welding process.
