Numerical simulation of temperature field for 9Ni alloy steel welding

Temperature field for 9Ni steel multi-layer welding was simulated used by SYSWELD software.Welding material was deposited step by step during this simulation.Linear regression orthogonal experiment was used to investigate the influences of heat input and inter-layer temperature on heat cycles in heat affected zone.Results showed that cooling time t8/3 and dwelling time tH increased with heat input and inter-layer temperature.The effect of heat input influencing t8/3 and tH was more obvious.Small heat input is recommended for 9Ni steel field welding.
