This paper proposed a new method for processing the response lag of well water level to solid tide using convolution filtering. Because water transfusion between boreholes and the aquifer needs a certain time, the well water level has a lag "memory" influence on solid tide response. Such influence can be removed by using convolution filtering,. Taking the observed data of No. 07 well water level in Shandong Province for an example, the average error of the well water level solid tide influence corrected by general regression method is 11.5 mm, and it is only 7.1 mm by the new method. So the correction effect of the new methods is better. The interval lengh of the convolution filtering integral is an index of the system to keep "memory" time interval of interference response. Generally, the smaller the coefficient of permeability and thickness of the aquifer, the longer the lag "memory" time of the well-water-level response to solid tide, the longer the interral length of the convolution integral. The size of this length can be determined through tests or calculation. Pertsev's filtering can process periodic variation composition of lag, but it can not remove the lag "memory" influence, and it also has a defect of causality reversion. And the convolution filtering has no such a defect, so it is a better new method for processing the response lag of well-water level to solid tide.
