A SIMPLE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM OF EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION BASED ON THE GENETIC ALGORITHM

In this paper a brief introduction to the genetic algorithm (GA) based on the mechanism of natural selection and natural genetics is made. A simple earthquake prediction classification system based on GA is established. A rule set for earthquake pre-diction is obtained from 8 temporal-spatial parameters. The results indicate that it is an effective way for the earthquake prediction exploration by using the hybridization technique.
