ON EXPLANATION OF EARTHQUAKE GENESIS BASED ON CRUSTAL "ROLLING-EXTENDING EFFECT

At present, most geologists believe that the development of the earth, includingcrustal movement and seismic activity,is decided by the internal factors of the earth,andthe external factors are secondary. The author believes that though the earth is a celestialbody with large volume and definite boundary,from the view of the Milky Way system,itcan not exit alone but only depend on the solar system for existence- During the develop-ment of the solar system,the sun is the center and plays the main role- It is certainly truethat the development of the sun controls the development of other planets. So the study onthe sun activity,the transportation of the energy from the sun to the earth and the physicalmechanism of the energy coupling,including the momentum and the mass,between the sunand the earth is a practical approach to study the earth development. The discovery of thecrustal"rolling and extending"indicates that the study of the physical mechanism of the en-ergy coupling between the sun and the earth has made a big breakthrough. The paper dis-cussed the sources of seismic energy and seismic forces and the seismogenic conditions andlocations by applying the theory of crustal"rolling and extending"effect. According to themechanism of crustal"being rolled", the distribution regularity of the crustal"rolling andextending"effect on the earth surface has been quantitatively analyzed,the controlling fac-tors of global strong earthquakes have been inferred from the theory for the first time.These controlling factors have been proved by the observed data,and at the same time,thiswill provide theoretical and practical basis for the existence of the physical mechanism 0fthe energy coupling between the sun and the earth - the mechanism of crustal"beingrolled ".
